I am just going to talk about the personal sign if you hear and see someone doing the following ask them how they feel about themselves.

You never try anything new because you just know you will fail. You are always saying in your self talk. I am a failure, I never do anything right.

You can never accept a compliment with out protesting and think to your self that you are unworthy.

You may feel that no one cares about you so why try to build friend ship or even a relationship.

You frequently ask others for assurance that you are realy Ok in their eyes.

You repress your  own opinion with the thought who cares I am nobody.

You may hide behind difference poses as the real you is not worth liking.

You feel that you are not worthy no matter what the task is. If you get an A on a test you tell your self you got lucky.

These are some of the signs of low self esteem. You may have them from child hood abuse or neglect. If you feel that these desribe please take a minute  and ask someone for help or work on your self with the material you can find here and on the web. I suffered for years and feel like I wasted 20 years of my life.

How To Achieve The Impossible

Posted in Uncategorized on November 4th, 2009 by Willy – Be the first to comment

I know what you’re thinking, ‘How can I do something that is impossible?’

But actually, nothing is impossible! It is only your perception of ‘possible’ that limits you.

You may think that going to the moon is impossible but that is not true – lots of people have been to the moon. What about flying? That was once thought of as impossible, but millions of people now fly.

Reaching your ‘Impossible’ Dream.

Begin by writing down three goals:

  1. Something you know you can achieve in the next day or two.

  2. Something you can achieve in the next week.

  3. Something outrageous that you think is impossible to for you to achieve.

Now, go ahead and get started.

  1. – could be something like ‘I will clear out the garage’. Go and do it then cross it off your list.

  2. – could be something like ‘I will spring clean the entire house’. Make a daily plan and be sure you follow this plan.

  3. – could be something like ‘I will spend my next holiday in…’ (wherever is your utopia!) Again, begin by making a list. 1) What do I need? (Money?) 2) How do I get it. (Better job, saving more, better investments?) etc. Then do something on your list.

Write all this down on a large sheet of paper, adding some pictures, smiley faces etc, to make it attractive. Stick it up on the fridge or in a prominent place where you can not avoid seeing it.

At the end of the first week, look at your list of goals. Now you can cross off the first one because you did that, right? Number 2 should also be nearly achieved but if it isn’t quite done, move it up to number 1 and finish it! Set yourself another goal to put at number 2 (as above).

Now check out your ‘outrageous’ goal (number 3) – you should be at least one step closer to achieving this. Just think, in a matter of weeks, by moving forward just one step at a time, you could achieve the impossible! Put your ‘outrageous’ goal back on your new list at number 3, set yourself another step to take during the following week to take you closer to achieving your ‘impossible dream’.

Before you know it you will be able to move your impossible dream up your list to number 2, then number 1.

Hey Presto, you have achieved YOUR Impossible Dream!

Kaizen

The Japanese word “kaizen” means simply “improvement,” with no inherent meaning of either “continuous. So where did the western thought get the idea that it had more meaning. In Toyota’s implementation of this idea they created a few guidelines. Kaizen is a process not a 1 time event. It is incremental or  a small change daily. So how do we make this work for us in our personal lives.

The first thing you would do is to sit down and take a look at your life where do you want to improve. As an example you might decide to lose weight. Instead of going out and buying a diet book or an exercise course. You might break it down into small chunks. You may decide that the problem is that you over eat at night before going to bed. You would start and there and a regular schedule add 1 more thing to your plan of attack.

The advantage is that you don’t change a bunch of stuff. You realize that it a life time process and  that each change will build on top of each other. You might attack 2 or 3 area’s of your life this way at the same time.

The key is to get clear about what you want to change and to map out the steps. This way you always know whats next. The other advantage is that you build  momentum with each success full step. You are more confident because you have success from past steps. Lastly each change is just a small change and does not overwhelm you.

Kaizen is a continuous process that allows you to improve your life step by step and once you master it you can dramatically change your life.
